About MoveMatch
Does MoveMatch move my items?
No. MoveMatch is a booking platform that connects you with independent, licensed moving companies. The assigned moving company performs your move.
What areas do you serve?
We're starting in the Houston area, including Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Cypress, Pasadena, and The Woodlands. More regions will follow.
Do I need an account to get a quote?
No. You can submit your move details and see an estimated price range without creating an account. You only create an account when you're ready to book.
Pricing & booking
Is the price guaranteed?
You'll see an estimated range based on the details you provide. The final price is confirmed once a verified mover reviews and accepts your job. We'll never charge more than the price you agree to at checkout.
How do I pay?
You pay securely by card through MoveMatch at the time of booking. You'll receive a receipt, and your payment status is always visible in your dashboard.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancellation terms depend on how close it is to your move date and are shown clearly before you book. Eligible refunds are issued back to your original payment method.
Who is my mover?
Once a mover accepts your job, their company name and contact details appear in your dashboard so you always know who's coming and how to reach them.
Your move & claims
What happens if something is damaged?
If something is damaged during your move, the assigned mover is responsible for handling the claim through their insurance and claims process. MoveMatch provides the mover's claim instructions and contact details in your dashboard, but the moving company is responsible for the actual moving service and claim resolution.
Who do I contact if there's a problem?
For booking, payment, or communication issues, contact MoveMatch support. For damage claims related to the move itself, follow the assigned mover's claim process shown in your dashboard.
Are the movers insured?
Movers provide proof of insurance during onboarding, and we review it before approving them. You can find your mover's coverage and claim contact in your dashboard after booking.
For moving companies
How much does it cost to join?
There's no monthly fee and no setup fee during the pilot. MoveMatch only takes a small platform fee on jobs you accept and complete through the platform.
Can I decline jobs?
Yes. Every job request shows the move details and your estimated payout up front. You can accept or decline each one.
